Use ChatGPT as Your Time Management Specialist
Where your time goes and why you never have enough of it? • Premium Mind Bullet #20.
Where does your time go? You think you do, but reality tells a different story.
Most people treat ChatGPT like Google with personality, but LLMs are great at extracting clarity from mess and analyzing data. Here’s how..
In this Premium Mind Bullet:
Step 1: Time audit.
Step 2: Turn chaos into plan.
Step 3: Project breakdown.
Step 4: Put in the calendar and prioritize.

Step 1: Time audit
You can't manage what you don't measure.
Before GPT can help you, it needs to understand where your time actually goes.
We will use this template by Ali Abdaal,
which you can get here.
The template has 3 pages, we are interested in two:
168 hours template: How much time per week I spend on what.
Ideal week: What would my ideal time spent per week be like.
Fill them up. Be as accurate as you can.
More about the template in this week’s resource section.
Step 2: Turn chaos into plan
Once you have your time audit, download it as PDF and use this prompt:
I filled out two time tracking templates - my current reality vs. my ideal week. Here are the results:
[download filled templates in pdf and paste to the chat]
My main goals right now are: [list your top 3 goals or 1 main]
Analyze this data and help me:
1. Identify the biggest gaps between current and ideal
2. Find the easiest 2-3 hours to reclaim first
3. Spot time categories that are bloated vs. starved
4. Prioritize which changes will have the most impact
5. Create a realistic bridge plan to move toward my ideal for the next week, give me exact steps to take for each day with estimate of how much time I will save
Adjust every time aspect to the given goals. Be specific about what needs to change and how to change it. Ask anything if you need.
I recommend taking some time to review the output yourself. Rate by priority: 1-3, highest to lowest. That will give you more insight than just reading the output.
Step 3: Project breakdown
